The heat + humdity = are we sure we're in CA?? Cuz really, this feels like the NW still. Two weeks now of humidity is annoying, cuz you can never get dry! Way abnormal.

But, we finally have a fridge! Anndie, her brother, and the old roommate spent almost 4 HOURS looking for a god*#$U& truck to rent today, finally finding one near the airport! But we got it, and a appliance dolly, and back to the old apartment. After an hour of cursing, screaming, blood, and banged up appendages, we got the frelling fridge out of the apartment and down the flights of stairs. (we have also determined that the architects of the complex were nuts, cuz they made too many tiny landings with 90 degree turns). Once we were on the ground, it was easier. Loaded the fridge in the truck, loaded other large stuff that would have taken up the backseat of one car, and drove away. We need to do some minor repair (painting, slight scratch filling) at the new apartment, but we were able to install the fridge and reload it. Now, Surr and Anndie can finally have real food at their apartment. And to the person who suggested taking the doors off - THANK YOU! It worked very very well.

Now, we will collapse before another full (hot and sticky) day of moving the coupious amounts of crap between apartments.

Next time we do this, we are so hiring someone...

*hugs tight*

I'm praying they don't roll blackouts there. CA is known to do that. I'm back up and running and I don't wish that on anyone else. With my case, I had the local coffee shop to hide in. If they roll a blackout, you guys will have to go way out of your area to find a place with power to rest in. I'm hoping for ya! Yay for fridge!
