So, here's the disclaimer: Most people in this fandom appear to be gorgeous, beautiful, stunning women. I - am not. You've been warned. But there is hope - at least Anndie is in 2 of the 3 pictures that I've chosen to subject you to and she's cute. So look at her.

First - we were both pleasantly surprised that my costume, as Glitch, was recognized by at least 3 separate people! There was a cute geek working on one of the rides and out of nowhere he just points and says, "GLITCH!!" Just about gave us heart attacks but it was AWESOME. There was another guy (employee at a store) who recognized Glitch and told Anndie (who was "traditional" Dorothy") that it would have been more appropriate if she were black-and-white. That made us giggle - this guy *knew*.

Both of us, trying to be cute.

CANDY CORN. And me.

Anndie, being cute. In case you were wondering - no, that's not "Toto" in the basket. It's "Porthos" from Star Trek: Enterprise.

GIANT CANDY CORN

HOLY SHIT, GIIIIIANT CANDY CORN! Land officially > World now.

Oh, and regarding your disclaimer, just take a look at all of the awful pictures I've posted. COMPARE YOURSELF TO ME AND REGALE IN YOUR NEWFOUND SELF-CONFIDENCE!

CANDY CORN!!! It's actually the "A" in "CALIFORNIA" that is part of the entrance plaza between Disneyland and California Adventure. All the letters get "seasonal makeovers" for Halloween and XMas. They currently have candy corn colors/stripes and the two A's are just giant candy corn. They're my favorite thing - I always take a pic on front of one of them. :D

And I have seen your pics. You are adorable - I love your hair and your glasses and your eyes and your smile...*squishes you*

That is just... so awesome. Well, we're bigger, so I guess that's good, too.

Well, you look awesome, too! And your costume is the greatest in the land. So, yeah, you are awesome. Remember that.

:P

Aww! *snugs* You're so sweet! I'll have to squish you extra good the next time we meet...perhaps Vancouver? *crosses fingers*

SPAZZ!!!!!!!!! Though I imagine Glitch would more likely be nibbling on the candy corn...

Aren't you guys the pretties! The Glitch costume came out great!!!! Sorry I missed the fun last night. See ya this weekend.

That candy corn! Please tell me it wasn't ... edible. Because I think I had a dream like that once. (Recently.)

I still can't get over the masterpiece that is your costume, Surreal. Gawking has helped some, but otherwise ... Must. Stare. -AND YOUR HAIR, TWAH! YOUR HAIR YOUR HAIR!!! *pets it* Did you explain how that was done, and I missed it? Curious minds want to know! You look so charming and sweet and cutecutecute!

Anndie and her little red shoes and her Enterprise Porthos! It's all so stunning!

From: [identity profile] surranndie.livejournal.com

*Eeeeee!* ~squeels and glomps you* Um - no, it's not edible, thank goodness! In the entry plaza that separates Disneyland and California Adventure, there are giant letters that spell out "CALIFORNIA." For Halloween season, they use candy corn striped letters and the two A's are those giant candy corn pieces. It is...difficult not to nom on it. :D

The hair...yeah. That was actually the second wig I destroyed to make it Glitch-like. It still turned out way too puffy for my tastes, but it was a last-minute attempt. Basically - a straight, dark pirate wig. Cut to length. Took the cat's wire hairbrush (which is also what I used to fray the jacket - yay multi-use tool!) and ratted it in chunks, then tied a knot in the middle of each chunk to both shorten and make it stick out. Did some more trimming for length/thickness. The zipper is stitched on (after the first attempt at cutting a wig to stitch it under the part ended in disaster). Um...Yeah. That's that process.

Anndie is very cute with her shoes and her Porthos! :D

THANK YOU!!!!! *giant hugs*

You put so much work into that. It really does amaze me!

*big hugs right back*

*trots out oh-so appropriate candy corn icon*
Now.
*ahem*
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
You two are adorable. Those are both amazing costumes. The Glitchification is astonishing. I'm still reeling over the braiding.

YAY CANDY CORN ICON!!! *nomnomnom*

You're too kind, dear! Though the jacket makes me very happy - I loved that guy who just looked startled and pointed, saying very loudly, "Glitch!" Too funny!! I'm such a perfectionist when it comes to costume play!

Too kewl! Anndie indeed looks VERY traditional and Dorithy-ish, and your costume is just wonderful! Sadly, at the last moment one of my officers asked for Halloween off so I'll be working... but it looks like you two have made a splendid beginning of the Holiday! :)

From: [identity profile] surranndie.livejournal.com

Aww, that sucks! I hope you manage to have some fun anyway!! Anndie did a great job on her costume parts (considering she BOUGHT EVERYTHING :P~~~~~ rather than having to make it).

From: [identity profile] scannerwa.livejournal.com

What more could I ask for, I get to be at work (and get paid for) 12 hours and watch Stargate episodes! LOL

Your hard work shows hun! :) Those were great pics!

From: [identity profile] surranndie.livejournal.com

*snerk* The candy corn might break your teeth, but you're welcome to the hair - that wig was the biggest pain in the ass to figure out how to make!! I have a much greater appreciation for whoever made Glitch's hair!

Glitch standing in front of a giant bit of candy corn has to be one of the most adorable pics this fandom has to offer. I am loving the costume like woah. :)

You have kitty eyes. They are purdy. :3

From: [identity profile] surranndie.livejournal.com

*snicker* I'd love to see Glitch faced with a giant candy corn. He would be...confused but filled with glee, I imagine! :D Thanks for your kindness! *hugs*
