There are no words. Only...GUH. And let the episode speak for itself.

RODNEY. Oh, Rodney. Running through the halls, screaming for John after waking up alone. John throwing Rodney his jacket. Then, the scene on the pier.

JOHN: "You're stuck with me, Rodney. Just accept it."
RODNEY: "You're a good friend, Arthur." ~followed by John spewing beer and both boys giggling like teenagers~

And Rodney wore John's jacket the rest of the episode. The first name out of his mouth, in every moment of fear and pain, was John. "John? Where's John?" *weeps* When he was saying his goodbyes on the video, the last name he said was John. Then, finally, when Rodney came back in the cave, his snapping at John: "You wouldn't say goodbye before but now it's okay?" (or something like that - I was too busy weeping.)

Everything about this episode was about Rodney and John. There's just no getting around it. Holy shit. Best - slash - EVER.

Fuck me! I need to catch that episode. I was owner of the McShep yahoo group back when the fandom had like 10 writers. I still mod it. I love that fandom. ANd John/Rodney are my OTP!!!

What I loved about that show...what I still love... is that they don't even hardly pretend that their audience isn't a bunch of women age 25 to 50 who wanna see Rodney/John shmoop. It's all about reading between the lines. They write that shit straight for their target demographic...Slash writer fansgirls!!!

*clings* Oh, you have to see this episode. It's so far past slash, it's just....oh. I can't even describe it. It's too much. There are no lines to read behind in this one, it's all laid out for us. There was touching, screaming, pajamas, jacket sharing, beer spitting, refusals to say goodbye, more touching, holding, and...and "JOHN! Where's John?" *flails*
